VMPET-GZ series is designed for customers who need stronger barrier performance than standard metallized PET film. The brochure lists three grades: VMPET-GZ, VMPET-GZ01 and VMPET-GZ03.

Common substrate thickness is 10-25 μm, with width and length produced to customer requirements. The technical table provides reference values for 12 μm film.

The film is intended for high-barrier laminates and for customers evaluating replacement of some aluminum-foil-based structures. Final suitability depends on the complete laminate, sealing layer and filling process.

• OTR: 0.70 / 0.40 / 0.25 cc/m²·24h respectively, tested to ASTM D-3985.
• WVTR: 0.80 / 0.60 / 0.25 g/m²·24h respectively, tested to ASTM F-1249.
• Aluminum-layer thickness: ≥ 2.2 / ≥ 2.5 / ≥ 2.5 OD respectively.
• Aluminum-layer adhesion: 2.6 / 2.8 / 3.0 N/15mm respectively.
• Surface tension: 52 mN/m on the metallized side and 42 mN/m on the non-metallized side.
• Tensile strength: 220 MPa MD and 230 MPa TD; elongation at break: 118% MD and 107% TD.
• Metallic appearance and light-shielding performance for light-sensitive products.

• Packaging for dried fruit, tea, coffee, chocolate, dehydrated food, dried flavorings and pharmaceuticals.
• Packaging and decorative applications for electronics, labels, cosmetics and metal products.
• A high-barrier option for customers evaluating replacement of some aluminum-foil-based laminates.
• Final barrier, printing, lamination and sealing performance should be validated in the customer's package structure.
