Metallized PET Film that looks bright on a sample card may still produce uneven illumination in a backlight. Reflector selection must follow the light source, spacing and optical stack.

Judge the light pattern, not the silver finish

Place both candidates in the same display assembly. Map brightness across the viewing area and inspect from the required angles. Keep LED position, diffuser and reflector-to-source distance unchanged.

A glossy surface and a matte surface distribute reflected light differently. The preferred appearance of loose film does not establish which type gives the required screen uniformity.

Include how the reflector is mounted

Evaluate creases, mounting contact and local gaps on assembled samples. If a dark zone follows a deformation, correct that geometry before changing the finish.
